The number of qualified psychiatrists in India is insufficient to meet the needs of the population. The training of GP'S in psychiatry can contribute immensely toward providing a much needed service for psychiatric disease.

The collaboration between Concern for Mental Health and Institute of Psychiatry has helped strengthen and expand the services availability to patients from far off parts of the country - ranging from urban and rural areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Northern areas including Gilgit Baltistan who benefitted from this facility over the years.
Even during the COVID Crisis and the lockdown, the Occupational Therapy Unit was linked to the Helpline initiated by the Institute of Psychiatry and the OT Staff provided online facilitation It is an exemplary service provision on behalf of Concern for Mental Health and the Institute of Psychiatry.

TOPICS COVERED : ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, TRAUMA, LOSS AND CHANGE.TECHNIQUES SUCH AS MINDFULNESS AND COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY (CBT) PRACTICES WILL BE IMPARTED TO THE PARTICIPANTS .
